The Road BehindWhen we first met Lux, she was a teenager in control of her own life. After spending her childhood trapped in the foster care system, she decided to look for her biological parents to ask them to give up their rights, so she could be emancipated. At first glance, she seemed to be quite sure of who she was and what she wanted for herself, without anyone's help.
However, not having your parents around; not knowing the circumstances under which they decided not to raise you, must undoubtedly leave an open wound, hidden under the tough exterior she had to put up in order to survive. She didn't find the perfect parents in Baze and Cate that she dreamed of as a little girl. Whose parents are perfect anyway? But, she found her parents, two people who actually cared.
